How to Get to Lyon by Car and Motorcycle
Lyon is at the center of France and has a dense highway network that connects it with the rest of France and Europe. For those living in Northern Italy, driving is a good option, while from Rome southwards, the distances start to become more challenging (1000 km from Rome, 1200 from Naples).
Two routes to follow: passing through Turin, follow the signs for Bardonecchia/Fréjus Tunnel/France and then those for Lyon. From Rome, it takes about 14 hours and €130 for highways and fuel with an average car.
Passing through Milan, via the Mont Blanc Tunnel, it takes about 5 hours. There is a longer option that goes through Provence (entering France from Liguria at Ventimiglia) then follows signs for Avignon and then Lyon.
